Will high pressure damage my vinyl siding?+

It absolutely can, which is exactly why we never use traditional high-pressure washing on a home's exterior. Too much pressure can crack vinyl panels, dent aluminum trim, strip caulking, and force water up under the siding where it leads to mold, rot, and insulation damage. Instead, we use a professional soft wash process: low pressure (closer to a garden hose) combined with biodegradable cleaning solutions that kill algae, mildew, and mold at the root. It's the method recommended by major siding manufacturers and the only safe way to clean vinyl, aluminum, cedar shake, and painted wood exteriors.

How long does a house wash take?+

Most South Shore homes take between 2 and 4 hours from setup to final rinse. Smaller ranches and capes are usually closer to two hours, while larger colonials, multi-story homes, and properties with heavy mildew or limited access can take a bit longer. The biggest factors are square footage, the amount of organic growth, the number of stories, and how easy it is to get hoses around the property. We'll always give you an honest time estimate before we start so you know exactly what to expect.

How often should I wash my home's exterior?+

For most homes on the South Shore of Massachusetts, once a year is the sweet spot. Coastal homes near Marshfield, Scituate, Cohasset, Duxbury, and Plymouth often benefit from a wash twice a year because salt air and humidity speed up algae and mildew growth. The same goes for homes surrounded by mature trees, which trap moisture against the siding. Annual house washing keeps your home looking great, protects your paint and siding from organic growth, and helps you avoid expensive restoration work down the road.

Do I need to be home?+

Not at all — most of our customers aren't home during their service. As long as we have access to an outdoor water spigot and a clear walk-around of the property, we can take care of everything start to finish. We'll send a message before we arrive, lock up gates if you have pets, and follow up with photos and a quick recap when the job is done. If you'd prefer to walk through the work in person, we're happy to schedule for a time you can be home.
