Do I need all three services?+
Not always — it depends on the condition of your pavers. If your existing joint sand is still solid and there's no major weed growth between the stones, we may be able to skip re-sanding and just deep-clean and seal. On the other hand, pavers that haven't been maintained in many years usually benefit from the full restoration: deep cleaning, fresh polymeric joint sand, and a quality sealer. We'll take a careful look at your patio, walkway, or pool deck, give you an honest assessment, and only recommend the services your pavers actually need.
What does paver sealing do?+
Paver sealing does several big things at once. It locks the polymeric joint sand in place so it doesn't wash out, blocks weeds and ants from coming up between the stones, protects against oil, leaf tannin, and food and drink stains, enhances the natural color of the pavers (with matte or wet-look finishes available), and makes future cleanings significantly easier. It's one of the best things you can do to extend the life and beauty of any paver patio, walkway, driveway, or pool deck.
How long does sealing last?+
A quality professional paver sealer typically lasts 3 to 5 years depending on traffic, sun exposure, and freeze-thaw cycles. Pool decks and high-traffic walkways tend to need resealing on the shorter end of that range, while shaded patios and lower-traffic areas often go longer. We use professional-grade sealers — never the big-box-store products that fade or whiten within a year — and we apply them at the correct rate for your specific paver type.
How long does the full restoration take?+
Most patio and walkway restoration projects take a full day on-site for cleaning, re-sanding, and prep work. Sealer is typically applied the next day once the surface is fully dry, and most sealers need 24 to 48 hours to cure before furniture, planters, or foot traffic. We'll walk you through the complete timeline up front so you can plan your weekend or upcoming gathering around it.
